To decode Morse code, users simply need to point the camera to the blinking light and ensure that the light stays within the red circle on the screen. The app's decoding algorithm adapts to the frequency of the blinking light, ensuring accurate decoding after the initial two characters are lost. Pinch Zoom functionality is also available for better visibility.
In addition to decoding, users can also transmit Morse code using the device's camera flash or speaker. The app provides options for transmitting the Morse signal as light or sound.
Morse Code Encoder Decoder also offers translation capabilities, allowing users to translate plain text into Morse code and vice versa. The app includes a comprehensive Morse Code International Telecommunication Union (ITU) alphabet for reference.
The Settings tab provides additional customization options, including the ability to adjust transmission frequency, increase sensitivity to light for decoding, and choose camera resolutions.
Supported languages for translation include English, Español, Français, Italiano, Pусский, Português, and 繁體中文. For transmission, decoding, and translation, the app supports Latin alphabets (English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc.) and Cyrillic (Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, etc).
Please note that a minimum frame rate of 7 fps is required for accurate decoding, and decoding accuracy may be affected when the blinking light is far from the device. The best results can be achieved in low ambient light or at night.
